Transforming a Cluttered HDB 2-Room Flat into a Cozy, Livable Space

Such was the case for our customer, whose HDB 2-room flat had gradually filled with plastic bags, carton boxes, and unused furniture. A Thoughtful Approach to Decluttering

Before beginning the project our team visited the flat to assess the situation and offer tailored advice. Understanding the sentimental value attached to many of the items in the home, we ensured that our plan was both practical and sensitive to the needs of our customer.

Day 1: Sorting and Shifting

Our team of dedicated professionals, including Ms. Cheryl, Mr. David, and Uncle Cai, arrived promptly at 9 AM, ready to tackle the task at hand. The first step was to create a more open space by shifting plastic bags and carton boxes out of the house. This initial effort allowed us to move the furniture into its correct place, setting the stage for a more organized environment.

Once the larger items were in place, we worked closely with our customer to sort through the contents of the bags and boxes. With our gentle guidance, she was able to identify which items she wanted to keep, donate, or discard. This process not only made room in the flat but also helped her to make decisions that would lead to a less cluttered and more manageable living space.

Day 2: Organizing and Spring Cleaning

On the second day, our team returned to continue the work with the same care and dedication. We organized the retained items into cabinets, making sure that everything was easily accessible and neatly arranged. This thoughtful organization transformed the flat into a functional space, where every item had its place.

In addition to organizing, we also arranged for the disposal of unwanted items, ensuring that they were removed responsibly. The day concluded with a thorough spring cleaning of the entire flat, leaving it tidy, safe, and refreshed.
