When we met our client, she explained that her elderly father had recently been admitted to hospital.
He had been living alone in the flat for many years and was a heavy smoker.
One bedroom had previously been rented to tenants, but the tenant had already moved out.
As her father prepared to return home, the family also arranged for a live-in caregiver to assist with his daily needs.
Before that could happen, the home needed significant attention.
Her goal wasn’t simply to clean the flat.
She wanted to create a safe, hygienic and comfortable environment where both her father and the caregiver could live with dignity.
During our assessment, we found that the unit required far more than routine cleaning.
Years of accumulated smoke residue had left many surfaces with heavy yellow staining.
The kitchen had significant grease build-up.
Dust had accumulated throughout the home.
The property also showed signs of pest activity, including cockroaches and lizards.
Before any organising or deep cleaning could begin, we developed a structured work plan so the project could be completed safely and efficiently.

By creating more working space, we could clean every area thoroughly without simply moving clutter from one place to another.
Items approved by the family for disposal were carefully removed and prepared for collection.
